Currently it is raining in Chama and snowing at the pass and at Osier and the temperature is 33 F. Will be cold in those cars since they are not heated.

Looks like the final day from Chama has been cancelled!

Wonder what the problem is. This happened on the last day of the 2022 season if I remember right because there was an issue with the engine. I was the docent on the next to last westbound and everything went fine except for a fallen tree on the east switch of Toltec siding. That is when the conductor found that there was no chain saw on the fire patrol speeder and had to use an axe.

Well, a look at the CODOT cameras on the pass gave me all the answer I needed. Then I noticed that there was no bus at the depot in Chama, so I expect both departures were cancelled, probably account of the snow and likely because it could have been dangerous to negotiate CO/NM-13 over the pass.

Hello!

We were wondering about Saturday, the 19th, as we didn't see a train arriving in Chama on the web cams in the afternoon.

Also, is there a way in which one can find from afar the details of the consists as well as if there were cancellations or changes.

Thanks!
Melanie

Bob, as far as I am aware no, there is nothing posted on cancellations. The consists for this year were a standard 8 cars, 4 coaches, the cafe, rider gon and the 2 premium cars with the parlor on the back.
