Snow mobile

It looks like a snowmobile has made a run through the north end of the yard.
I can't explain why but that makes me feel like the yard has been "violated".

I agree, Rich. The skier didn't evoke the same gut response, but snowmobilers on the property create numerous hazards and liabilities. Personally, I would post signage to the effect that the railroad property and right-of-way are off limits to motorized vehicles. Intriguing as the site may be, and given today's litigious society, the potential for injury and property damage is just too great.

LOL guys. Remember the serious derailment of 484 back in the early spring of Bart's last year? Apparently that was caused by ice buildup around the rails at a popular crossing for snowmobiles near Coxo.

Thanks Dick. Now I have a tangible reason to feel uncomfortable. :crash:

I saw two snowmobiles yesterday (12/30/2012) travel south down the mainline around 15:21 local time. They were visible first in the north camera, then shortly thereafter in the south camera. Both turned west on the road that comes from the engine house.
Saw skiers headed north up the tracks a few days back.
