motorcar being picked up

At 6 PM EST another? motorcar is being loaded on a trailer.

Yeah, what is the story behind that? I've been assuming it's the same machine. Not working? Repair problems?

It may not be the same one. It may be that they are sending, one by one, their fleet of motorcars out to some local truck shop for major repair/PM. They appear to be Fairmont "A" cars, and their power transmission is very similar to a truck; 4 cyl engine, 4 speed tranny, driveshaft, except instead of the rear differential, they have a forward /reverse non diff. rear. Something a truck shop would be right at home with.
