At the moment it is departure time and train 216 has not moved into loading position. Wonder what could be going on?

OK, it is moving into loading position right now.
Just a guy who loves steam.

Train 216 pulled at 10:13 am MDT with 484 pulling 8 cars.

And here is that departure. This was the first coal fired passenger train departure from Chama this year.

You may notice that 484 doesn't have a spark arrestor fitted. The trials with 488 last year must have been successful enough to warrant a fleet wide process of removing the spark arrestors from the smokestacks.
