7/1 opening day on the c&ts

there appears to be a second hot engine on the south side of the engine house

Posted: Fri Jul 01, 2022 7:51 am489 has pulled today's train forward without adding any extra cars, so the other hot loco is just getting warm. Without having to stop at either the ash pit or coal dock, getting 489 ready this am was a very quick affair.

Posted: Fri Jul 01, 2022 9:22 amI think the other engine is 484. Anyway, I think tomorrow might be a double header, as the C&TS advertised that every Saturday this month would see a double header. Hope this is still happening!
