The school train is getting ready for departure. This is day 3 of the school so probably headed the whole way today and return tomorrow on the last day of the experience. Was again a 12 car train but today had what I think is the kitchen car for the OY train instead of a caboose.

I believe when 484 returned late yesterday afternoon she was only seven cars long...............a cab was added to this mornings consist to bring the eastbound back up to eight cars..................guess that's why the school train didn't have a caboose this morning.

Ed, possible but 12 cars is the limit and with that cook car added, something had to go, so the caboose made sense especially if needed for the regular train.

It'll be interesting to see what 484 returns with this afternoon after the swap at Osier?

Ed, this is the New Mexico set and since they are sending the train sets through, just swapping the locomotives at Osier, this should be correct.

Thanks Sharon...................guess we won't be seeing any swapping today, since it's Friday?

You are correct since the train turns at Cumbres.
