Did I just see 489 go by as being retrofitted to burn oil instead of coal?

Am I seeing things and going crazy?.

I can understand why with the drought, fire danger, and the tree hungers.

The drought has something to do with it, but in pictures of the slopes around the train as it heads up to Cumbres, note all of the dead lodge pole pines which were killed by a bark beadles. These are a severe fire hazard along the line.
