A busy, chilly day. Lots of action preparing for train departure. Loading up with coal, observer with a jacket and hands in pockets. Colors in the background. In position at the station. Second engine waiting for the tracks to clear. Passengers loading. Departure to the north. Second engine picking up cars north of the coaling station, then switching cars south of the station for quite a while. Finally finished, moving back to the engine shed (roundhouse), clear for the passenger train to return. Easy to imagine traffic being worked for Durango or Denver.

Was watching this weekend and it was about 5:45 a.m. and a freight was leaving. It was a fantastic live show!
