Sand tower
Posted: Wed Jun 19, 2019 12:15 pmSeveral years ago the Friends spent time rebuilding the Sand house in Chama so it could be used by the loco crews. This prevents them having to throw the 50 lbs. bags of sand up onto the locomotive. This is a good shot of 484 getting sand after bringing train 215 into Chama.
