Action in front of shop with engine #15 moving with the help of the 2 of the front end loader. Looks like they went to the side of roundhouse to move a car. Maybe #15 split the switch and they are re railing #15?

With the tipple cams offline earlier today, we could not see the early activity that lead to what we see now. The only locomotive body in the east stall of the roundhouse is 497, so they must have pulled it out for some reason then put it back. So its nice to know that it still will roll.

I just received a note from D&SRR thanking the C&TSRR crew for helping to pull the throttle from 497. D&S is rebuilding 493 and there evidently is an issue with the throttles on the 490 series when used in passenger service. Once the revised throttle is designed, the plans will be made available to C&TSRR for use on the 497. Nice cooperation.

Nice discussion about 490 series throttles over on the NGDF if anybody has not already been there.

There is also a good ground level shot of it on the outside in the lead post.
