Today starts out a bit drier than the last few. Please contribute your captures for today.

The cold morning air causes the steam to hang low as 487 starts the day heading to the ashpit for the fueling routines at about 8:00 local time.

At 8:23 487 is backing down the main heading for the coal dock.

487 reaches coal dock at 8:29.

Around 9:30 we see steam plumes on both sides of the RR as passengers start boarding in Chama.

At 9:45 fire patrol is at ashpit spraying down the ashes before running down to the main switch waiting for 216's departure.

It's 9:50, ten minutes before 215 and 216 depart:

487 and Train 216 depart on time to start the final week of the season.

A very quiet yard at about 11:30 local time.

Locos at the ashpit at 1:17 local time as service routine continue.

NEXT at 1:23

At 1:40 both locos take turns at the tank.

While watching the yard cams in the field in Michigan watching trains...this just blew by!!:):)

At 2-10 local time both locos have returned to the shop.

At 4:15 local time locos back at the ashpit.

At 4:30 local time 463 brings 215 into the Chama Depot

Passengers begin detraining at 4:32.

At 5:00 local time 463 backs the train set east on the main. Appears some work going on at concession car or open gon.

At 5:21 pulls the train set back towards depot a pit and stops.

At 5:29 local time it's finally off for the wye.

463 returns with the trainset at 5:45.

At 5:53 463 heads for the shop via the west side entrance in an unusual move. Smoke plume is third photo highlighted. 463 night service will continue.
