9/25/18 Tuesday Goose and trains

Unread postby Sharon Evans » Tue Sep 25, 2018 5:20 am

Morning preparations: The hostlers are out early with the 484 going through a full prep. I am recording to see what it may be. Looks like 484 maybe on work train duty this morning. After moving about the yard and grabbing the two cars on the connection track, 484 has coupled onto today's train. I was wondering about ballast work since the high sided gon that is coupled to the hopper is a ridder gon not a working gon. This is earlier then they normally begin the prep for the daily 216. Goose 5 should be leaving for its Osier turn ahead of 216 so we have that this morning also. Looks like everything is going to have to wait until this afternoon since I cannot stop the recording since not sure of Goose departure time. Hope that no repeat of yesterday when had the freeze of all 3 cam streams. Getting ready to process today's morning activities. The streams froze on me again but luckily it was after 216 had left.

Not sure if they are going to store the 315 in there for the winter. Nope, they just needed room to let a loader get into the stall for something.

Thanks, Sharon. If you listen carefully as the Rider Gon approaches the tipple you can hear me yell "Hey Sharon."

No, ma'am. We're in Chama tomorrow. Not sure what we're doing. Might spend the day on Cumbres. Heading for Silverton on Thursday.
