Sharon,
Do you (or anybody) know what car is spotted in front of the 315 on the station track (toward the shop and coal dock) ? I noticed it there while catching up on the daily posts a couple of days ago - but do not recognize which car it is (appears to me to be pretty tall) and wonder why it is there. I apologize if this has already been explained and I missed it.

Not positive but I think it is the snack bar car that is used with special trains. Now why its there and not in the yard, no idea. Another interesting mystery is what was that special train from Antonito to Chama on Sunday.

Did anyone get a capture of the special train on Sunday? Two thoughts - Botany train or they brought the School Train which had been parked at Los Pinos back. Frank could confirm if the School train is still at Los Pinos.

Pete, I have a grab from Antonito showing the special leaving there so its not the school train. It was passenger and had riders and crew as I watched it in Chama after arrival and saw the on board people getting off. Have several grabs on Sunday after it got to Chama. The consist looked like the small snack car, 2 flat roof coaches, 2 open gons and a caboose.

OK - I think I heard about a special but didn't pay much attention since I left Chama on Saturday. On another subject, when I left the display train was only the 315, RPO and 292.

Pete, it still is but they have put the small snack car used in special trains in front of it.
