I am looking at a bird tail at the top of the depot cam. Wonder if its building a nest up there.

Good Afternoon Sharon. Doubt that a bird the size of the tail you displayed could anchor a full sized nest to the depot camera. It would be tough for most any sized bird to nest there. The camera is made by Axis, a solid and well known brand. I have noticed that they sit on a few video equipment and streaming standards committees. I priced this model last year at just under $1,200. It contains a heater for the cold winter months and an internal fan activated by a thermostatic contral in the warmer summer months. The microphone is installed internally, but there is talk among the webcam fans that an external microphone will be installed soon. Only Jason can validate such a rumor. The camera is not a wi-fi installation. It is hardwired to the router or distribution switch. The following photographs show the camera, its location and a young - Joe Kanocz, not graybeard Jason- performing the final touch up to the installation:

You can view google arial maps showing the location of the three yard camers, photos of the location of each camera and a written history of the camera installation.http://www.coloradonewmexicosteamtrain.org/FriendsForum/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=1474

Thanks to all who volunteered effort and money to this very worthy project, then and now.

And, of course, my sincere apologies to you Jason.

No apologies necessary. I was just pointing out a minor error.
