Good to see the C&TSR get off to a "speedy" start. Time to fine tune tracks and crossings.

I see smoke rising over the works, so possibly some kind of steam test is imminent. Shame about the other camera, but we are lucky there are folk out there trying to sort these things out. So thanks for one who will probably get over there in person.
Cheers,
Fred

Hi Fred. Learned that Jason and his crew have the camera operating, and will be returning it from Houston and installed before opening day. Trying to keep these cameras running suggests how rural Chama is. If you do get to Chama give those of us watching a wave. The "wave-to" camera is mounted on the North end of the bathrooms. Here is a bit of the smoke you saw:

For those viewers new to the web cam forum or just in need of reminding themselves of what the south view consists of, here is a short video taken about two years ago. This was taken from the Archives listed at the top of the Cam index page.

You can see from this video and others in the archive that Larry Sullivan was on top of rail yard activity. Larry's sound capture is great.

Rick, Jason said that there was nothing wrong with the camera, its something at the tipple which they can fix. Also 15 is moving about the yard this afternoon, can hear it but not see much.

Sharon mentioned that locomotive 15 could be seen moving about the yard. Newcomers might have been looking for a plume of steam and puzzled that it could not be found. Roger Hogan clears up that confusion with his video taken five years ago showing locomotive 15 arriving in Chama to service the railroad. You'll immediately recognize why 315 spews plumes of blue smoke instead of white smoke.

Thanks to Roger for posting this fine video in his forum:
