The challenge, or item on bucket list, or plain madness, has been to record a time-lapse video of the sunrise at the Chama Depot, before the year 2018. Editing and re-editing to avoid the confounded start arrows is the primary task. At least this does not have to be accomplished on three yard cameras. Arriving at seamless transitions between camera automatic adjustments in color and lighting is also a major task. Sometimes it sounds as though the equipment triggers a solenoid to accomplish the revision. It is your guess as to what comes next.

At about 48 seconds into the viewing, a depot employee darts out to the refrigerator car and grabs a case of cold water. Quickly closing and locking the two swinging doors, she scampers back to her office. My guess is that she and other staff are finishing the end-of-year reports so that they do not have to return Tuesday.

If you are bored watching the Chama sunrise, take a look at the Antonito\Chama action several years ago - about the time of the trestle fire.

This crazy weather pattern has it 12 degrees colder here in Virginia then it is now in Chama. We are at basically sea level and Chama is at over 7800 feet.
