Hi

Is there a problem with the sound on the three webcams? I cannot hear anything. I have no problem with the PC or other webcams.

I know this sounds too simple, but have you checked the sound setting on the cam? If so not sure. It was working fine for me earlier but not home now.

yes I did..thought it was me! just checked this my ipad..although its part 10am, it still seems very quite

One other check to see if thing are OK. Using the depot cam, turn the volume way up, you should hear wind noise since this mic is not shielded.

I find the mic on the South tipple cam is very weak. The North side is very good and I think it pics up some South side sounds.

After complaining it was weak, Well today it is better as I could hear the whistle & bell on 489 when she came to the pit. Has Jason adjusted it lately or is my computer the cause?

I haven't changed anything. The north and south cameras use the same mic.

Are you saying there is only one mike for both cameras? That would explain why the sounds are weaker to the South.

Yes, there's a single omni-directional mic in the middle of the tower and it points down. It's wired to both cameras.

Just an update just watched the 10am on all three camera, absolutely no sound at all via my PC....my sound card is working well however on my ipad sound! go figure......life is to short....

Melanie, when you open the cameras, each one has a speaker icon down on the bottom right. Is that muted or turned up all the way? If up all the way, you may need to check your sound card settings when you open the camera window.

I hear sound from all 3 cameras.

Please take a look at your volume settings. There may be a speaker icon in your system tray at the lower right (assuming you're using Windows). Click on that and make sure they're all turned up. Sometimes there will a setting specifically for the internet browser. If you see a link for "Mixer" click that as well for a look.
