In case anyone wondered why 489 departed Chama, and came back with the same train. They turned both trains at the Osier loop, and sent them back to the town they came from. I guess they still don't trust 487 down the 4% grade.
We do miss you Sharon, but a hard worker like you deserves a break.

Maybe the new crossing guards at Cumbres had something to do with it. Check out the North camera.

Frank.......thanks for the heads up about 489 coming back after leaving this morning......do hope that 487 gets "cured" of her "air brake malady"....she's our favorite C&TSRR loco after riding behind her in June 2016 with the TRAINS MAG tour.
And Sharon we do miss you and your Bandicam expertise.............I've been experimenting with it but nowhere near to posting anything anytime soon.

Thanks guys, I am back on it and, as far as I know, have nothing planned for the rest of the season which would take me away from the postings of the daily doings in Chama. Firing up the Bandicam now for the rest of today. Frank, I am really surprised that they turned the whole train and not just the locomotives.
