That puff of black smoke from in front of the engine house was, if I'm not totally mistaken, from #484 slipping its drivers while trying to pull #488? from the house. It happened a couple more times, and whichever engine was pulled out is now sitting in front.

[Manlift was unloaded at Cumbres and is now parked behind the snowshed. No idea of how it will be used or where.

Perhaps for use in repairing the roof on the pavilion?

Once the locomotive being pulled out was visible, it was 463. I could see its tender with the block writing and circle logo.

I didn't get a screen capture but it did seem like 488 was pulled out today. A K-36 pulled another K-36 out at mid-afternoon, pushed it back into the left stall, and then I lost track. There was about 30-40 minutes of of pushing and pulling which did indeed include 463, but judging from the dog houses on the tenders, there were two K-36 moving around in Chama today and two out on the line.

I have a video clip of this most recent shove of 463 by 484. It went far enough into the east stall to have shoved the 488 out the back or maybe pulled it forward in the stall. Unless we have a reporter on the ground to do "eyes on" we are guessing.

Caught a late visitor to the yard. Arrived a bit before 8:00, ran away briefly when someone came out and jumped into the sand pit to remove some pallets, then came back and curled up again with minutes of the interloper departing.

Evidently the RR will be handling the repairs of the roof. The lift could be used to more fully plan what needs to be done.
