Anybody's guess about just when we'll see #489, but I would at least expect to see it tomorrow, Sometime earlier today, the signage was placed on the passenger cars. The weather forecast for tomorrow looks frightful!

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM FRIDAY TO
6 AM MST SATURDAY...

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...BETWEEN 1 AND 2 FEET OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE IN
THE SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS ABOVE CHAMA WITH AROUND 5 TO 10 INCHES
LIKELY ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS...JEMEZ
MOUNTAINS AND THE SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS. LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE ON WEST FACING SLOPES AND HIGH PEAKS.

* TIMING...SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN EARLY FRIDAY MORNING AND
CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY. THE HEAVIEST SNOW IS EXPECTED
FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND FRIDAY NIGHT.

* WINDS...WEST TO SOUTHWEST SUSTAINED AT 35 TO 50 MPH WITH GUSTS
BETWEEN 60 AND 75 MPH.

* SNOW LEVELS...SNOW LEVELS BETWEEN 8000 AND 9000 FEET EARLY
FRIDAY WILL LOWER THROUGH SATURDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL BE COLD
ENOUGH FOR SNOW FOR ALL LOCATIONS BY LATE FRIDAY NIGHT.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...THE COMBINATION OF VERY STRONG WINDS AND HEAVY
SNOW WILL CREATE POOR VISIBILITIES AND NEAR BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS. TRAVEL WILL BECOME TREACHEROUS WITH SNOW PACKED
AND ICY ROADWAYS. SOME ROADS MAY BECOME IMPASSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS
SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.
SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL
DANGEROUS. STRONG WINDS ARE LIKELY. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY.
