#489 is back. No stop at the ash-pit, makes straight for the engine house door.

Goes into the west stall briefly then heads out again to the ash-pit ...

I guess that's it for the week ...

Seven hours gone today. Someone in Chama must know what is going on. I have seen one post over on the NGDF saying that the track is only showing use up to the Narrows. So what, are they taking the 489 out and parking it on the main between first crossing and the Narrows??????????????

Shoved the 487 out on that first pass to the house.

well here is my guess,
oil inspect run oil inspect run oil inspect run. It maybe necessary to get under the loco to oil and inspect so with snow on the ground, that will slow the process. Being it gave them trouble, they r being real careful in the implementation. Just a WAG on my part.

Possible answer Tom, it just is taking a very long time to set these oilers up since they have been doing this almost every day since the end of the season once the work trains stopped.
