Thanks, Jason. That helped alleviate some of the withdrawal symptoms.

Excellent video Jason, with some very atmospheric shots.

I'm a bit puzzled though (not uncommon these days !). #463 leads #487 all the way from Antonito until the crossing at Cumbres, where #487 crosses light-engine followed by #463 and the train. Where did they cut #487 out ?

Thanks guys. Glad you liked it. That was a VERY good day.

Mike, 487 was pulled out in the east end of Cumbres Yard. Would've been far simpler to let 487 take the train down. But since 463 was the star of the show, she had the honor.

I was on the camera crew filming for the DVD this day. My assigned spot was Cumbres, to film the arrival. However, to get there, I had to run from the lower (far east) end of Tanglefoot Curve when the train stopped to let everyone off for the run-by. I live at 90' feet elevation, essentially sea-level. 10,000' was kicking my butt on that run! As it turned out, there was no need to run at all. It took about 20 minutes to cut 487 out the train... which is about how long it took for me to catch my breath!

It was still a great day. One of my favorite up there in God's Country.

*My avatar photo came from that day. My buddy Jon Walden took that shot of me standing on the Coal Dock at Osier.

Thanks Jason. That was quite a run you had there - don't think I could even walk it now, at that altitude.

Thanks Jason as I certainly enjoyed this video and seeing sister "Squeeky" run. Love to hear her whistle and sometimes can't help to make me laugh. I Definitely enjoyed this trip!
