Looks like a lot of low clouds over the mountains, and Cumbres pass is fogged in solid this morning. Hopefully things will clear by train time!

The sun has come out as 489 is at the ash pit this morning.

216 now in boarding position. Cumbres finally clearing out a bit, so might not be as bad a day for scenery as it seemed a while ago.

489 takes out train 216 - only have North cam view today, South cam froze on me.

489 is back again with 215, right on time as 487 awaits her turn to take out the dinner train. Good crowd in the gondola tonight.

489 removes one coach and 487 backs to her train. 489 then takes the "back road" to the ash pit.

Those diner trains are very nice with a wonderful meal of prime rib, chicken breast or roasted cod for the taking.

I believe there is another school coming up next week. Keep 463 in Antonito may give the RR more flexibility in Chama.

Gets me hungry thinking about it!! Hope to get to one next year, but I think I may be too late in the season for them.

Here's today's video -

Train 216 Departure - South cam locked up on me, so only North cam and no sound with this one.

Train 215 Arrival with 489 leading - right on time, as 487 waits her turn at the dinner train.

489 pulls one car off of the 215 train set, as 487 backs up to the cars in readiness for the dinner train.

Smoke about covers the train as 487 starts out of the yard. 489 having had it's servicing at the ash pit and water, backs to the shop.

Dinner train returns as night takes over the yard.
