It is calm in Chama with the 484 sitting on the east house lead and either 487 or 489 sitting on the west lead. The switch is currently set to the west side and once I get a better view of the plow on the locomotive on west I will know which one it is. OK, my initial though is that is the 489 sitting over in front of the west door.

Preparations for train 216: Switch is now to the east stall and looks like 484 is getting up steam.

Sharon I forgot to answer your question yesterday - 487 went inside the West stall, pushed by the loader, after 216 left. When 489 came back from helper duty, it seems she may have pushed 487 further back, or outside, but no sign of 487 since then.

If there is something wrong with 487 it increases the likely hood that we will be seeing the locomotive swaps at Osier. Today's 215 will let us know.

487 has reappeared and wonder if it will be the school locomotive.

Looks like the 489 is going to be the student's locomotive. They are gathered around it and it has its headlight on. Also the house lead switch is set to the west side.

Arrival of train 215: 484 is coming back I hear its whistle so they are doing the swap at Osier again. If they do it for 2 weeks again, I will be able to get to Osier next weekend to see how they are doing it. Eight car 215 from Antonito today.
Having problems with the CDoT Cumbres cam, but it produced a picture at the right time.

Here's 216's departure. Interesting little "race" with the speeder, speeder went back so operator could retrieve something from one of the other machines, then it seems like a race on the way out.
