Morning preparations: 484 is out, its Monday and I would not think there would be the need to double head so 463 is probably just getting its daily attention done.

No, I think most of us dislike that sound. One day they plan to install an external mic.

yeah, one thing I notice about the cooling fan from the depot cam is that it's only on during the warm and hot seasons: Spring and Summer, and it's not on during the Cool and Cold seasons: Autumn and Winter.

The Coaling tower cams already have them.

I know that. btw, it will be nice to see more webcams on the railroad, particularly a live webcam on top of the water tank at the eastern end of the railroad in Antonito, that will be really cool to see!

I would like one on the southwest corner of the round house to cover the south yard as well as Antonio.

I see the fire patrol speeder is back and further they are again using the 'normal' one which last week was picked up by the all terrain lift and placed in front of 15. I case anyone wonders how I can report this, the 'normal' speeder sported a small American flag which was still on it while it sat over by 15.

Hopefully one day we'll get the external mic on there. The mic they had at the time of the install didn't work, but the wiring was put in for the external - it's just a matter of getting a mic and having it installed, I'm not sure if anyone is able to get to that this season. We used to have that sound on the tipple cams, so happy we have the external mic there for sure, and as I remember both cams are actually running off one mic at the tipple.

I think we all have our wish list for additional cams, and could come up with several places to put them. The first thing needed is lots of money to purchase them, and then to get them installed and such of course. There would also have to be permission from the railroad to do so. Antonito has an issue with getting good internet signal as well, which has been a factor in discussions of a cam there.

Gents, I'm very busy being Dad right now and can't get up there this season. The rest of the team is either buried with other FCTS projects or handling personal business. So, it's pretty unlikely to happen this year.
If, by some chance, my company needs work done in that area again this year, I'll run over and install the mic. However, there are no projects planned up there right now.
Most likely, this will have to wait for 2017.

Thanks Jason, we have endured it this long so we can wait until next season with knowledge that it will probably be done.
