Happy Father's Day to all and especially to fathers riding the trains or watching on this sunny morning. 489 is out starting the yard activity today.

489 lingers for several minutes after filling tender at the tank working on fire before back up the main. Meanwhile crew truck moves over to chemical locker with gas cans.

489 pulls up to the fuel dock and loader tops off the tender.

Meanwhile on the Antonito end another locomotive is being fueled at the coal dock there. It's almost geometric symmetry 64 miles apart!!!:)

Judging from the two consecutive captures at Cumbres the 216 must have cleared here during these minutes.

Computer glitch at the wrong time, missed capturing but 463 brought in the geology train, now headed for the wye.

487 brings in #215 as 463 waits after turning at the wye.

463 brings the geology train down towards the tipple, then backs into the track next to the main, to store the cars, for now.

Today's video - first is 216 heading out this morning. Second video is 215 return, and the switching off the geology train back into the South yard. As noted above I missed the Geo train arrival with a stupid computer operator hiccup. Then again, if I was smart I'd just blame the cat!

Will add in one more from today. As has been somewhat normal ops so far this season one locomotive tows another to the ash pit and water tank and back. This evening we have 487 pulling a cold? 463 to the pit, then down for water. All normal on the way down, but coming back 487 seemed to be slipping quite a bit, and having a bit of trouble pushing. 7 minutes from the tipple to the shop, thought I'd post it for those that might want to see it. When 463 came back she did go right inside after turning the Geology train and setting it next to the main. As fast as they seem to have dropped the fire, have to wonder if there were any issues they are dealing with.
