Looks like perhaps picking up the caboose that's been next to the main near the depot for a couple days.

Here's the video from this morning, about 7 minutes long. Nice smoke in the cool morning air, the North cam gets a couple good doses of smoke and cinders. Where is that smell-o-vision Jason!!!!

Figured I'd put this up too, the smoke and sounds of the early morning are always good. 489 moves 487 from the East lead to inside the West shop door.

489 goes through the morning rituals of cleaning at the ash pit, and filling the tender with water and coal, now ready to go for the day she awaits near the depot.

Finally captured a train at Cumbres! Good job Jeff! I think that's the first, or maybe 2nd only of this year.
Meanwhile back at the yard what looks like more long pieces of lumber being delivered, added to the pile that's been there all winter. Anyone know what this is for? I think it was mentioned last year, but I forget the project.

The lumber is probably 4" x 8" x 32' long Douglas fir for the for the wheel and tie car I will be working on next week. It may also be decking for the rail and tie car Craig McMullen will be working on in E & F sessions.

The lumber (32' sills) under the canvas from last year is for the flatcar below the 492 in the swamp.

Thank you CRAIG MCMULLEN for the donation of the truck. Since about May 25th, I have burned almost $800 in fuel making pick ups and deliveries for the Friends. Yesterday was ABQ for steel at 8am, and Alamosa by 2pm for welding supplies, back to Antonito to load equipment for Chama C&D. Today, race car trailer to Antonito, the 32' sills from Quality (Antonito) to Chama, then back to La Jara and Antonito for more lumber.
Doug is going to bed now.

Here's today's 216 and 215 - 215 came in with another gondola right behind the locomotive, perhaps traded for the one that went out a couple days ago, or the same one coming back, no way of knowing for sure.
