Thanks Doug! We were aware of it, and have been talking about it for a couple days. Never say sorry for posting info, it is always most welcome and appreciated!
Based on past years we usually don't see them on the locomotive until sometime after lunch, then it's an afternoon of short familiarization trips. Tomorrow begins the first actual train work -- is this still the case this year?
Have a great day in Chama!!! (Wish I was there and out of this hot, humid hell of summer!!!)

I dunno what the heck they were doing with 487, it seems it was up by Ed's house half the day. Someone was on the whistle at or before 6am, always brings a smile to my face.

Doug, is Ed's house the first one past 1st crossing between the road and tracks?

Well, I have to admit I did not see much activity this afternoon related to the school.

The group is, or was over by 487 not long before 215 came in. They usually do a few familiarization runs after 215, so remains to be seen if that happens this afternoon. They usually are out by now, so later than what has been normal in the past for sure.
