Today 489 will lead as she begins her day at the ash pit.

489 heads to the coal dock, as the fire patrol speeder tank is filled at the ash pit.

#489 has the train in position for boarding, great weather for a train ride today!

#489 takes 216 up the hill.

Well as we await the arrival of 215 from Antonito, the wonder is whether the CDOT cam at Cumbres will grace us today with an image to post. Stay tuned for the results.

There is a backhoe working down by the water tank. He may be clearing brush.

He was definitely clearing an area there - as can be seen in this before and after capture.

Well looks like skunked again at the Cumbres CDOT cams.

Arrival of train 215:

Train 215 enters Chama yard with 487 doing what it seems to do best, blowing its pop valve.

As the parlor New Mexico clears the coaling tower we can see 4 dudes on the platform waving madly.

487 passes the depot as it brings 215 to a stop under an overcast sky.

Here is 216's departure this morning, 2nd video will be 215's arrival. May be more later as 489 is in the South yard - perhaps doing some switching work.

They've set one additional open gondola on the main, looks like we'll have a slightly different consist tomorrow than normal. If they let passengers in there it will be a nice ride behind the locomotive!
