Well, after paring down the video grab from just under 1:45 to just over 26 minutes, here it is. I have removed everything that did not relate to 484 itself moving. It should be noted that when 15 first attempted to move the 484 it would not budge. They then brought over the heavy loader to push, still no luck, so they had to go at it with bars and shovels. This finally allowed it to be slowly moved. Also both times that they brought it to the house lead by the pit, they needed help from the loaders to get it far enough forward to clear the switch points.

Did anyone actually see the tree removal even though we didn't catch video, wondering how long it took them to cut it up and get it out of the way.

Good stuff Sharon - thanks. Nice to see some activity, even though the snow is now a horrible mess. I missed the tree removal as well - they must have moved pretty quickly.

I saw the tree removal process, which took the better part of an hour. The intrepid lumberjack had to post-hole through deep snow to get to the trunks, whch were cut into several sections. The bucket loader maneuvered the logs off to the left (downhill) side of the tracks and cleared the rails . The portions of the tree which fell across the coaling ramp are still there, buried under the snow.
