12-13-15 Christmas Trains Day 2

All is quiet for now, with 489 peculating away inside the shop. Soon to be busy hauling happy Christmas passengers once again. Today's weather should be clearing and sunny, should be a great day to ride. Sure wish I could be there!!!

#15 has been brought out and is now hooked to the front of the Christmas train.

And here's 489 out and at the ash pit, so not sure what's going on with #15.

Possible explanation for #15 - as the 4th train left yesterday they suddenly stopped by the tipple, and sat there for about 15 minutes. I wonder if they had an air problem again with one of the cars, perhaps 15 is supplying air to test things out this morning.

I know we already have a shot of 489 at the dock but this moment struck me for how bright everything looked with the clouds gone and a very blue sky.

Here's video of the first departure of the day. Clear skies and sunshine as the train heads out -- though the South cam sky is starting to look a bit grey again.

Almost missed it - 1st train is back, they pushed back so guessing maybe too much snow to make it to a runaround track like they did yesterday.

The 4th train out - as the train was leaving the yard we've lost the cams, temporarily hopefully. Skies are clearing a bit on the North cam.

They were briefly freezing then down for only a couple minutes earlier, now down for a while. Guessing a hosting issue -- will notify Jason if it stays down much longer.

Have to agree with Sharon - the lighting was perfect for that departure -- here is the North cam video of the 5th train today. A little skip in the video due to cam freeze.

I guess this is the final train of 2015 and it backed into the yard. Long, cold ride for the conductor guiding the train from the back platform. Now all they have to do is attach the tourist and parlor cars and 216 is ready to depart.

Fire truck was up next to the locomotive - they must have been really low on water and had the truck meet them there.

This is likely the final video capture for 2015. In the next few days I may get something compiled for the Christmas trains, as I have time, but pretty much this will say goodbye to 2015, unless they surprise us with something the next couple weeks. I'll also get the archives updated for the year soon.

12-13-15 Final switching moves for 2015. FYI this runs just under 16 minutes, lots of good sound so I didn't cut as much as I might otherwise.

Thanks Larry. Nicely done.

I was away from my computer all day and missed all it. Really appreciate the videos.

Thanks Jason! - I'll be working on a compilation from the two days, as I have time - should have a bit of a Christmas video for us in the coming days.

Larry, thank you for your fine work. I was out and about this week end (spreading good good will and cheer. ) and missed most of the action in real time.

You're welcome Rich. It was fun to watch, just wish I could have been there instead of here. One of these years............

Just got in a few minutes ago - appreciate it Larry - got to see the door close on it all.
