Well, all is quiet in Chama and the locomotives simmer away at the house, lights are on in the depot, but today begins the winter rest for most involved in operating this wonderful railroad.

We should get to see a fair amount of activity for the next week or so, the hard part is nothing is scheduled so we can't plan times to look!

From what I know 463 is supposed to come back this week sometime, there will (should) be a fair amount of switching getting not only the charter train ready, but shoving the passenger cars someplace for the week at least. We may see #15 pop out again sometime soon, and then early next week there should be the hospital train which is scheduled for Tues or Wed I think. Once that train leaves, the bridge outside the yard will be taken out of service for some scheduled maintenance, so we likely will see nothing leave the yard after that time until repairs are completed.

I'll be recording daily until at least after the hospital train goes, I expect at that time the shop crews will transition to the usual 4 day work week, Mon - Thurs, and I'll likely do the same - giving my overworked computers a rest on the weekends!

Just before 10:00 and undetermined loco ran to the tank and back. Caught it in final move back to enginhouse.
2nd and 3rd captures were windows of cam refreshes still on main page when I captured live move in pic one.

463 arrives Chama light engine and it's whistle breaks the quiet of the yard.

With 463's return, all locomotives are in Chama.

After getting serviced in back of the house 463 is now at the ash pit.

I feel that today's activity has ended with 488 back on the right house track in front of 463.

Most is covered above, but reviewing video of the day --

488, 484 and 489 all made trips to the ash pit and for water this morning. No signs of 487 at all. 488 also got a couple scoops of coal delivered to it by the loader. 463 returned this afternoon turned at the wye and then the usual servicing. Not bothering to put that to video, however if anyone wants it, let me know I can post it all.

Late in the afternoon a family of deer came up right under the tipple cam by the sand box, with the golden hour sun shining on them, and four locomotives peculating away in the background, it was such a peaceful scene I started dozing off in my chair. This runs about 18 minutes, but the deer were there for far longer than that. Hopefully you agree - great sights and peaceful sounds.

10/19-15 Deer by tipple cam -- 18+ minutes, 4 hot locomotives in back by shop.

That is correct and 489 is behind 484 on the left side. 487 is either inside or in back of the shop.
