10-12-15 Will there be four? -- YES!

Yesterday's 215 came in with 9 cars. After turning at the wye 484 brought the train back to the depot, cut off the front two cars for the road and headed to the shop -- so we still should have 9 cars ready to go today. So could we have another doubleheader? Time will tell.

If so, Larry it might be a first since the boxcar era of coaches used on the 216. In those days due to the limited capacity of chair seats fastened to the floors more cars were often used to accommodate riders. Every time we rode in the 70s and 80s it was a DH.

484 is at the pit and another engine is coming out behind, looks good for that double header. Wish I could hang around but have to go. Look forward to the videos Larry S.

Besides 484 what other engine is on the train? Answered my own question, zoomed in and saw the lettering on the tender so 463 does helper duty again.

Sorry, but I had to laugh when 463 blew the 10 minutes warning. Poor thing sounds like a sick cow.

I did get back for the departure and it was very nice. On the last shot of the New Mexico platform there were a man and woman waving, since I did not see anyone would think they were waving at the camera.

The DH should be getting to Cumbres soon. I hope to see it on the cam.

Too bad there's no audio. 463's whistle makes me smile.

After turning around, 463 sped through the yard like the crew was late for lunch.

215 is at Cumbres right at 3pm so should be in Chama no later then 4 pm. Well so much for my prediction, its almost 4:20 and he just whistled.

Today's arrival of 215 with 488 leading a 9 car train. If they don't take off a car we will have another double header tomorrow.

The changing season is evident this evening with the lengthening shadows over the yard in glowing autumn colors.
Looks like a regular train set waiting for Tuesday at this time.

Jeff,
You have been a master of the CDOT camera over the course of the 2015 season, Jeff. Nice that you caught it again on your holiday off from dork. Larry

I can see one flat roof in the lead, so that is still 8 car so one engine needed.

Here's today's videos. As noted above 8 cars on the main for tomorrow, so likely just a regular train. It does look like only a few seats left out of Chama, if the numbers are correct on the C&T ticket site, so I guess it's possible they could add another coach back on. Time will tell, but for now here's today's videos.
