A bit cloudy today in Chama, looks chilly too with all the loco steam around. 216 heads out this morning behind 489.

Work ongoing with one of the switches near the shop and 488 now out and about in the North yard starting to switch some cars.

Looks like the only switching was to move the caboose from the back of the cars in the North yard, now sitting next to the roundhouse. Looks like it's 0579 to me.

Unfortunately that's my limit of coverage today, it's off to work. Videos later this evening.

I am home and will get 215. Right now looks like 488 has taken 484 down for a drink and is getting one itself.

463 just came into Chama with 3 MoW cars and few other cars. Pictures to follow once processed. Guess they left the derrick in Antonito.

I am sitting here listening to 463 spin the wye with its train. Now that they have adjusted the whistle, it sounds almost like an N&W hooter.

Yes Robert, if they are setup for 10 cars we will definitely have a double header. 8 is the maximum they can go with one locomotive.

Here's today's video review -

Train 216 leaves on time this morning with 489 leading

A little before noon 488 came out the back of the shop due to switch work being done in front, went down to pick up the caboose at the end of the oil train cars and brought it to the side of the roundhouse.

About 2pm 463 returns with the MOW train - no derrick came back, so that is now in Antonito

After turning at the wye, 463 pushed the train into the South yard.

Train 215 arrived with 487 in the lead. After turning at the wye, 2 additional cars were added, so we should have a doubleheader tomorrow.

Seems awfully empty today without following Larry G's exploits around. As I post this, 9:30 Eastern time they just crossed the Mississippi River, near Davenport Iowa, still a few hours from home.
