Workers load and stock the 216 before departure. Later a mini camera line has formed as 484 pulls the 216 past the freight house. Then it's past the tipple and tank before a glorious climb to Cumbres Pass under a beautiful blue sky. A day any of us viewers would love to be there!!!

Looks like a really nice day. I was able to see smoke way in the distance in a couple of shots from the CDOT cam this morning.

I thought I'd post this picture of the equipment we have been seeing on the tipple cam for the last few days being picked up...partly to show it from a different angle.

Well the daily equipment moves to clean the fires and add water resulted in the 488 now on the right side and the 487 on the left and getting sand as I type this. Maybe she is going out tomorrow on 216? Now really wonder, the 487 has moved into the left stall of the engine house.

Looks like 487 is actually out the back side now -- they do like to keep us guessing for sure!

489 brings the 215 in at about 4:05. Stay tuned for Larry's videos to be uploaded soon.

Here's today's videos. For now, just 216 and 215 - when 489 got done turning 215's train, she worked for over an hour with some switching in the South yard -- I'll put something together with all that, but likely won't get it posted tonight.

Also as a side note --- 487 is now sitting in front of 488 on the "ready" track, it looks very likely 487 will take out 216 tomorrow.

I decided to go ahead and get this done tonight - runs about 14 minutes, compilation video of all the South yard moves. Some of the movements are left out due to time constraints, but most are the far from the camera shots. Total time the crew spent on the switching was a little over an hour.
