Don't know if there is any particular reason, but 488 at the ash pit at 6:15 this morning, a couple hours earlier than normal. Perhaps nothing more than an early cleaning, but just curious to see it there at this time.

The 489 is getting coal and the 484 is getting its fire cleaned after the sunset train yesterday, doubt double header today. No extra coaches today, normal 7 car consist.

489 pulls the 216 out in a rather smoky departure today. Friends watching on loading dock have the warehouse door ajar getting ready for the work session. Hope your videos capture today Larry. Need to view again to appreciate the smoke screen created after passing the tipple:)

Some random thoughts on today's 216 departure. First, anyone else notice the lady in the red top who sprinted down toward the water tower after 216 pulled? Second, there was a third person in the cab of 489 today.

There are 2 engines simmering in front of the right stall, could one of them by 487?

Well 215 came in with only 1 extra coach so they left 2 in Antonito. Guess to replace the 2 that came over on yesterdays 215.

An unsettled wet and windy afternoon when 463 brings the 215 in at about 4:22. In the capture a lone tumble weed blows in from the coal yard as the loco passes.

After returning the coaches from the wye 463 engages in some interesting switch moves in the north yard. After 463 takes the cut out MOW car to the swamp before heading outside the Enginehouse.

Here's today's videos - starting with a very smokey departure of 216, air must have been really still this morning the smoke hung in the air for quite a while after the train departed.
07-26-15 Train 216 Departs
07-26-15 Double Locomotive Move - 484 moves 488 from left shop track to inside the right bay. An hour or so later, the move was reversed, with both locomotives now back on the left side.

As noted above there was some yard switching in the North side after 215 returned. Does anyone know which car was taken into the swamp?
