Listening to what sounds like crickets and hiss of steam as the 484 sits in ready position for today's 216.

Ok, when did they move the two cars on the station track? I noticed them there on Sunday but they are not there today. Hmmm

John I'm just working up the video now, all Friends cars were moved yesterday (Sunday) some to the swamp a couple down beside the depot track. Video will be posted into yesterday's thread shortly. Truthfully I didn't even notice they were gone this morning - shows how awake I was when I get home from work.

Thanks Larry,
I was able to take off work and travel to Chama a few weeks ago with my wife and visit with the friends busy at work around the yard. We were able to take a ride and chase the trains as well. We visited with folks working on some of the cars or getting parts from them, etc. What a special time! Anyway, thank goodness for the cams and guys like you who are willing to put their time in after work so we can follow this year 'round.
John

Makes you wonder about their moving all the Friends work projects since they have another session in 2 weeks.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for the yard coverage over the last few days. I've been very busy and not able to look in until tonight. Discovered a very different looking yard with cars that had been spotted for work projects gone. Great we are building a daily archive/log of what is happening to keep day to day operations well documented. Thanks to one and all!!

Thought I'd add this little clip in here. I happened to look in on the yard early this morning, 2am Chama time - just something I do from time to time when bored at work. Usually don't see much, but the quiet of the night and a couple locomotives awaiting their day. Tonight a bit of lightning in the distance - and a lone deer visiting by the tipple.

Agreed!!
My wife and I were even able to "look up" ourselves waiving to the cams on our departure when we returned home. I really appreciate how everybody pitches in.
