All preparations have been made and 216 is waiting to depart. Goose #5 is still roosting in the yard.
A little while later an orange Jeep Wrangler drives up from the swamp as departure nears.

Conductor waves the "Highball" and swings aboard the Parlor Coach as 489 heads outs with the 216 right on time. After departure it appears Goose crew is around making preparations to head to the wye.

Today's 215 from the CDOT cam at the pass.
People ask me what I like to do for fun, and I tell them I like to watch webcams. Then, I have to explain a little more, of course.

Nice capture Jeff - always interesting even if it's not exactly RR - anything interesting counts!

Here's Mondays run of video -- Train 216 and 215 departure/arrival - as well as #463 getting coaled and readied for perhaps a journey tomorrow? Also they tried to wash off some of the ash pit dust on the loco while coaling.

07-06-15 #463 Takes on coal and gets a bit of a rinse off

Now we know where those range steers that pop out on 17 from time to time come from. A nighttime encounter with a steer can be "interesting" while driving over the top. Larry
