A construction project has apparently begun...

Any clue what that could be? Have to wonder if any pipes or something run through there. Looks like a trench that pipes would go in to me.

There's been some work on a drainage issue. I wonder if this is part of that project.

The reservoir for the water spout has been leaking and the runoff was undermining the foundation of the Section House. I was told a trench was dug along the track to the trestle to guide the water away from the house. Maybe this is an extension of that drainage.

Anyone know for sure?

Here is a photo I took last October. You can see a trench running parallel to the tracks on north side running downgrade. It was about two feet deep and a little more than a foot ride. Coming down the knoll path in the dark would get you!

For some reason when Larry G posted this from his phone it shows as sideways here on a PC, at his request posting his image so it's not sideways.

Runoff from the water cisterene is what is undermining the section house and is the reason that Bob Conroy and crew spent a good part of the fall jacking up and shoring the building. Glad to see they are doing work to make sure the water bypasses the section house.
