Very smokey rough sounding #15 warming in the yard, cranky after a long weekend off!

It appears that somebody lit a fire in #484 as well.

Yup sure does! 19 days to opening day, things are picking up!

Looks like 15 is going to bed in the round house.

At 7:00, after pulling out the parts storage car (with a few parts still on it), #15 was tucked away into the roundhouse, and #484 is smoking seriously. Looks like there's work to be done, and we'll get to see it done with steam power!

Word has it that 484 is having its FRA inspection today. Blowdown and steam release a few seconds apart in captures.

488 now hot as well!

Peeked in near 5:00 local time and 488 was in the north end of yard before backing down in front of stall 4. Appears 484 is inside in stall 3 hot with smoke from chimney in the air.

More from the day --
#488 while being watched by a motorcycle group (bikes in parking lot), does a very long blowdown. Then 484 and 488 switch places, with 484 ending up inside the shop.

488 moves to pick up the RPO, open gondola and caboose from where it has been sitting on the depot track. They go to the South yard and pick up a line of cars (includes a reefer car, someone else in the know can add what the rest of the cars may be). All cars brought to the depot track and spotted in place, with RPO, gondola and caboose ending up where they started. 488 heads back to in front of the shop, where she sits now still hot. Had to split into two videos due to max size I'm allowed on my site - total time for both is around 22 minutes. Enjoy!!

Looks like they respotted storage and Friend's Museum box car in this switch move. Things are moving towards getting ready for the upcoming season. Thanks Larry!!
