12-22-14 Stopping by the Yard on a Snowy Day

Whose railroad tracks these are I think I know.
Its headquarters is in that depot though;
They will not see me stopping here.
To watch the Chama yard fill up with snow.

My friends may think it is weird,
To stare at the web cam here,
Between the river and Terrace Avenue
On a snowy December day this year.

The flakes fall as a quiet night nears,
I must concentrate as night appears,
To see the flakes in the twilight
As the wind blows the snow here.

The yard is so quiet and white,
It's a long time till a train will move,
And spring returns with season forty-five,
And spring returns with season forty-five!

Apologies to Robert Frost
