Dark puff just came up over the engine house, seems to be building a bit -- likely steaming up 489?

Also some coaches have been shifted over in front of the station building.

Those were put there yesterday Sharon, if you look over on Larry G's thread he covered pretty good what happened yesterday. #15 did the work of the day. My guess is more shifting around today, get the train fully ready to go and heads out tomorrow -- that's pure guesswork though.

Good sign is no additional snow over night as the area where the pipe flats and gons were moved from is still snow free.
Perhaps a train today.

Frank,

Antonito does car repair and any cars that need work or inspection will need to spend the winter over there. So all is gathered up in Chama and lugged over there. It got nicked named the Hospital train as that is usually a train that has cars that need work on them

I have lost track of where all the engines are. It was my understanding that 488 and then 487 were to undergo their 1472 day inspection this winter. I know that 463 is in front of the roundhouse. but not sure which is in front of the Engine House, who is inside and who is at Antonito. Can someone fill me in and also whether that is correct about 488 and 487?

Not knowing the switching plan, what I am watching makes very little sense.

Don't think its at the coal dock, but they ran around it and are going to shove it back into the yard.

Seems that every move that has been done this afternoon has taken considerable time to hook up and they move again.

After stepping away got back in time to see 15 still moving a car cut around and then running light down the main and return to the same spot as Monday. Looks like an occasional puff of smoke from the chimney as this morning too. Can't tell if the train is set or not between light and distance.

Smoke is pouring from the smoke jack on the right at the engine house.
