New Paint Job?

Unread postby John Hamman » Fri Oct 24, 2014 10:37 am

I may be seeing things in the steamy mist, but it looked the like tenders of the 487 and 489 have received a "retro" paint job. Anybody know anything about this? Or, perhaps I need a new monitor.

There's a charter tomorrow and the tenders may well say "Rio Grande" now. Haven't seen one yet to verify.

If your monitor is busted and showing you "retro paint jobs" on the tenders, I'd hang on to that monitor! :smiley16:

Excellent point - perhaps I will catch a few ghost trains passing through on their way to Durango and Alamosa!

John, you are not seeing things. It looks like 487 and 489 have been painted to match 463. They look pretty darn good.
