Going "Cold Turkey"

Looks like everybody stayed home today... just a preview of what we won't see during the months ahead. Yeah, I know that there's going to be some activity this weekend, and there was certainly lots to see yesterday, but the only thing I saw moving in the yard today was herd of 6-7 deer just before daybreak. I never saw so much as a wisp of steam or smoke all day.

You missed the 2nd set of deer right at the shop doors early this afternoon! They were wondering where everyone was too!

As you say Edwin, just a preview of the months ahead -- hopefully the archives of the season will help when you need that quick steam fix! We should have another week or so of activities I would think. At some point we should have the hospital train too taking all the passenger cars to Antonito for the winter.

Jason - it's time for your countdown to next season again!!!!

Anyone know where the locomotives went to? Sure enjoy the cams and thanks to all who got them back on line and maintain them.

484 is sitting outside the roundhouse, 463 is likely behind the shop 487 and 489 are inside. 488 was last seen headed to Antonito a few days ago. I think I have all those numbers right, if not someone can correct me.

Thanks for the reminder. I'm going to redesign that whole page and will add the new countdown when I do.

Things are bit more lively today.

Hey Larry S, are you planning to record tomorrow? I won't be near a computer most of the day.

Aaah! Much better this morning. They're definitely stinking up the valley. Looks like 487, 489, and 463 are getting hot.

I unfortunately am at work won't be home until about noon my time, likely way too late. Sorry I can't be here for the big show. If anyone else can grab at least some screen caps it would be great.

Well that's a bummer. But, you can't get 'em all.

Thanks for all you do, Larry.
