The camera pointing at the roundhouse has sound.
The camera pointing to the water tank does not.
Anyone else notice this?

The north mic was turned off by Jason, when he installed new and much better ones, because it needed to be adjusted further. He was out of time and will address it when he next can.
To my ears the single mic is getting the job done pretty well

What is amazing to me, is that even with just the South microphone working, you can still hear the train a good 7 or 8 minutes after leaving the yard (and same in the afternoon you hear a whistle several minutes early).

I will note, as I've been told, that when using a device such as an i-pad and only being able to view one camera at a time, it's a slight issue not having the North microphone. As Rich pointed out it will be fixed one day, but certainly what we have now is far superior to the days of listening to the camera fans when they turned on!!!!

The north mic is on my project list for next year. It's possible, but increasingly unlikely, that one of the other team members will get to it before then.

It would probably be fixed by now if not for that dang lightening strike taking out the camera network. That little issue used up all available volunteer time (and then some), pushing the mic problem off until some future date.

Thank you all for telling me about the microphone.
The one is doing a fine job.
