Train 215 returned with #484 leading. Shortly after 215 came to a stop at the depot, Goose #5 and Motor car #1 headed out of the yard. Nothing listed on the C&T schedule pages, so must have been a special charter run of some kind.

Larry, I am guessing it is a qualifying run for machine and crew.

Thanks Tom, makes sense. I did get word they were going to Cumbres and back, just returned a short time ago.

Tom you were correct, the trip was a qualifying run for new motormen, as well as a trip for the volunteers that are there. As a member of the GGHS (Galloping Goose Historical Society), Larry Gibson got to go along -- here's a few of his pics he asked me to post. Geese will be turned this morning (10/2/14) at about 7:30 and head out to Osier for their first revenue run at 8:30.

Larry S, thanks for the after-dark arrival. VERY cool!
Larry G, thanks for the Goose photos. Looks like you had a great time! Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
Was Larry Spencer running RGS 5? If so, that's a lot of "Larrys."
