09-27-14 Train 216 - 15 car double header train.

So the question for those that have been around here for a while -- what's the longest train you've seen? Certainly in my short 1 1/2 years or so watching the cams this is for sure the longest.

#488 and #484 with 13 passenger cars and 2 open gondola cars, total of 15 car train. I have both cams here in two separate videos.

Larry, WAY cool! Thank you for the show. Couldn't be on at departure time, so it's wonderful that you caught such a neat event. Wish I could see it climbing windy point!!!

You're welcome Dave, but the thanks goes to the Friends for having the cameras available, I just hit the record button for the archives.

I do hope there are a few people out getting video of this train today, we sure don't get one like this very often.

A 13 car consist with a double header.
Doesn't get better than this!

Train #215, w/#487, came in with 10 cars this afternoon. Not counting the rider gons, that means there were 22 cars with paying passengers on the line today. Good day for the railroad! :cheers:
