Mission Accomplished

As of 1520 MT, the Chama WebCams are back in business.

The north camera lens needs to be cleaned. It’ll happen soon.

There may be an occasional interruption over the next few days as ancillary issues are addressed.

Thank you for your patience.

SPECIAL THANKS TO:
John Engs
Steve Forney
Joe Kanocz
Rich Murray

Fantastic work! A huge thank you to all involved. I'm at work and can't get streaming video on this computer, but will very much look forward to tomorrow morning and watching the yard again!

Great news Jason. with all the problems you guys ran into it is great that everything was ready to go when the new node arrived. Good show by all of you guys, especially Steve for doing all the dirty work in the attic of the restroom as well as crawling under the depot running the CAT 5 wire conduit and hooking up the grounding system. Having the cameras back on line is amazing! :smiley24:

Amen, John. Steve deserves some serious praise. He did all the really nasty jobs.

Talked to Steve tonight and he said all of you made a great team as each one of you has skills the other two don't possess .

Just FYI the North camera is almost black at night - all you see is the 5 or so dots from the street lights, nothing else. This may simply be due to the dirty lens, but wanted to make sure you knew about it.

It's great to have the views back!!!

Thank you ever so much to all who worked on restoring the cameras to service. This morning was a wonderful surprise. Being at a distance, it was much like seeing a very good friend who has been away for a long time. Again, thanks! BTW, how did we, the Friends, do on the fundraising for the camera repairs and maintenance?
