06-21-14 Double Header

Unread postby Larry Sullivan » Sat Jun 21, 2014 9:20 am

As advertised a double header today. Amazing sound, can still hear the train several minutes out of the yard.

Video for those that may have missed it -- though I noted the view count at 176 for a high -- think that's a record, at least when I been watching.

About 10 minutes long left it running through much of the delay time, just loving the sound!

Thanks again, Larry.

Joe K and I teamed up today and chased up the hill leap-frogging each other. I have all his footage and will edit it together with mine. Should be ready late this week.

It was a beautiful day to spend on Cumbres.

I bet it was. Did #463 go onto Antonito with the flats or go back to Chama?

463 went on to Antonito. I believe she'll be used for the Geology Train tomorrow. I caught her running light at Apache Crossing.

The flats stayed on the train behind 488 and went all the way as well. I imagine they'll return soon with more ties.
