Interesting loco shuffle this morning. 484 moved up from the left side of the engine house, then 489 pulled another hot loco (guessing maybe 488 with seeing that earlier this week), from the right side to the left -- seemed to have some troubles pushing backwards. 489 now waiting behind 484 at the ash pit.

Two videos below, just click on them to be taken to the video.

Thanks for the photos, Larry.

I have to wonder what the Rio Grande railroaders from 60 or 70 years ago would think about our ability to see and hear two hot K36's side-by-side from 1,000 miles away and 45 years after the railroad was abandoned. I live in this century, work on a big corporate network all day, and it never ceases to amaze me.

Yeah Bruce stuck at home today with the house painters, so glad to have some action in the yard.

Jason - yes it is amazing with today's technology. Also those first two in the thread are video, just click on them -- sorry should have pointed that out. Got one more coming here shortly as soon as it's done uploading.

One more video for now - this one runs close to 10 minutes, with a lot of the waiting time paused out so it will seem like it skips in spots.

Just to round out the morning #216 departs right on time. Nice sound, as our friendly fan noise didn't start until after the train left the yard.

A bit later 489 headed out with the two flat cars of ties - camera time out got me, so only got the North cam.

My guess would be they get going real fast and then hit the brakes...
